Mawa Burfi
Burfi is an Indian sweet traditionally made with mawa or condensing milk and then sweetened with sugar.

- 2 Cup Khoya 240 ml cup
- ½ cup Powdered Sugar 240 ml cup
- Rose essence few drops Optional
- ½ tsp cardamom Elaichi Powder
- 2 tbsp. Pistachios chopped
- 1 tbsp. Almonds chopped
- 1 teaspoon Clarified Butter Ghee
- 1½ tbsp. milk powder (optional)
Heat the pan with ghee, crumble the khoya and add into it. Sauté it in ghee for 2 mins.
Add the powdered sugar & rose essence.
Add Elaichi powder.
Add the half of the nuts and mix it a good.
Remove from the heat when it's all come together and pour into the tray or on a aluminum foil and level the top.
Bring to the room temperature.
Garnish with the remaining nuts
Cut to the desired shape and store in a airtight container.
If the burfi is not setting properly then add milk powder and knead the mixture .
