2cupdatesabout 30-40 pieces, roughly chopped or grind in a grinder
¼cupalmondchopped
¼cupcashewchopped
2tablespoonpistachiochopped
2tablespoonwalnutschopped (I didn't use walnut)
2tablespoonsesame seeds
½tablespoonbutter or ghee
¼cupraisins
½teaspooncardamom powder
Instructions
Deseed the dates (if you don't find seedless dates) and chop the date as fine as you can.
Take a pan or thick bottom Kadai, put chopped nuts in it and dry roast for 30 seconds on medium heat until lightly roasted. Keep stirring and avoid burning. Remove it to a bowl.
Add sesame seeds in the same pan and roast for few seconds till it roasts or you hear cracking sound of sesame.
Remove it to same bowl and set aside.
Add ghee or butter in the pan and put the dates in it.
Cook on low heat till the mixture is soft mixing it with the help of spatula.
Add cardamom powder and raisin. Mix it well.
Remove from heat.
Add nuts and mix with a spatula until combined.
Let the mixture get cool enough to handle. Then mix further with your hands.
Transfer the date mixture to cling wrap or to a foil or wrap and roll it into a log.
Keep the log in the fridge for 30 -40 minutes and cut slices of date roll as required. Serve.
