Dal – Pulses – Curry

Dal, Pulse or  Lentils are a side dish for Indian Meals. Dals are made in different ways in Hindustani cooking. Dals are usually made in pressure cooker or pot or in pan also. It is the tadka which makes the dal special. Everyone has special herbs and special masala and special way to make the dal tasty.  The tadka  consists of onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic, garam masala, kasuri methi and dhania/coriander powder.
